Design principles

ADHD-first,
not as a label.

Four principles we wrote down before we started building. Every feature gets weighed against them.

PRINCIPLE / 01

Honest over hype

No fake streaks, no dopamine traps, no pretend productivity scores. If a feature would make a tired ADHD brain feel worse at 11pm, it doesn't ship.

PRINCIPLE / 02

Forgiveness is the feature

Miss a day, restart a week, redo onboarding. Reflectify should feel like a calm place to come back to — not another streak to protect.

PRINCIPLE / 03

Capture before structure

Brain dumps come first because organizing is often the hard part. Get the noise out first; structure comes later, when there's room to think.

PRINCIPLE / 04

Quiet by default

No red badges. No "you're falling behind" emails. Push notifications and alarms are for task reminders you choose yourself.

No. Reflectify is built around how ADHD brains tend to work — but plenty of people with anxiety, burnout, or just a noisy week find it useful. Use what helps.
On your phone. The brain-dump-to-task AI runs locally on-device. Optional encrypted backup is opt-in, and we never see what you write.
No, and there never will be. We think streaks weaponize a brain difference. Done is its own tab — open it whenever you need a kind reminder of what you actually did.
